A delightful interplay of interweaving shapes and colors that catches the eye and adds a Zinnia ZING to any outfit.
This piece consists of 4 pieces cut with a blanking die (2 sizes) that have been formed, interwoven and stacked. The multi-color pieces use Sterling Silver and 18kt Gold bi-metal. When the Silver appears in a darker shade it has been oxidized in a chemical process for effect.
This pendant duplicates the Large Zinnia in Sterling, but half of the pieces are cut from 18kt Gold bi-metal and the piece is oxidized. The LARGE pendant shown here is 1 ½” and hangs 2” with the bail.

A peaceful Water Lily floating gently on the slight currents of a small pond, supported by the strong round leaf called the Lily Pad. This collection came about through a lovely accident! I was learning a new technique that involved cutting shapes out with a blanking die and hydraulic press. This shape occurred from the negative space created by cutting out an entirely different shape - hence the Name of the collection.
This set shown has a dramatic center Akoya pearl in each piece. The design is also available without the Pearl, as shown in items below.

Forged Sterling Silver Pendant with Smithsonite Drop.
Many years ago, I took a class at the Worcester Center for Crafts in Worcester, MA. I REALLY wanted to learn a specific technique called Viking Knit. “Chainmaille” wasn’t something that was on my radar. But I learned how to coil and cut my own jump rings and a few standard weaves. I finished one Viking Knit piece and never went back. I was smitten with Chainmaille. Two years later, knowing I would continue, I purchased a “Jump Ringer”, an extremely handy tool - a $500 investment at the time - that has paid for itself many times over since. I get bored, so am always looking for a new weave that most people haven’t seen!

A friend wanted some ‘wide’ hoops. That led me to braiding some Sterling Silver wire and making some hoops. Then I used thinner wire, but doubled the wires, then tripled them. Then I did some weaving. so many hoops! And then I had leftover lengths, so then came the coils and loop-d-loops. Adding a lovely stone or pearl to the coils seemed appropriate.

The succulent collection involves pieces that have been cast from a clipping of a succulent plant, twigs, and other organic material. I once discovered some very gnarly pieces of dried kelp on an out of the way beach in Mendocino, CA. Some pieces here have been created by taking a mold of the curly side of a piece of the kelp and casting pieces of it.
